An Ode to Wyoming

Cold…. so cold…..

You were everything that I had been told.

Wide open spaces, and mountains so high,

I’ve never felt so close to the sky.

Cafe Geniveve was a waffle revelation

That definitely deserves a brief notation.

Your sizzling hot tubs kept me warm,

And comforted me during the dreadful storm.

I’ve never been so grateful for gloves.

Or apple cider, movies, and loves.

Wyoming – why did I wait so long

To listen to your beautiful mountains’ song?

With toes frozen, and a nose so blue,

I regretfully sing a quiet adieu.

Hearts alive

My love, my heart.

I hope we will never be apart.

Today, tomorrow, the rest of my life…

I’ll love you even in times of strife.

Protect my heart, and I’ll love you ever more

And in unison our hearts will soar.
